Ala'

Ala’ is a 37-year-old Palestinian from Jerusalem’s Old City, where he still lives and works today. From an early age, he developed a deep passion for art in all its forms. Driven by this passion, he studied art at university, dreaming of becoming a full-time artist.

But life in Jerusalem required him to balance his artistic ambitions with family responsibilities. To support his father and help sustain the family jewelry shop, Ala’ chose to channel his creativity, sensitivity, and attention to detail into the art of silversmithing.

Today, he runs the family shop, founded by his father in the historic streets of Jerusalem’s Old City, where he has also established his own workshop. Every piece is entirely handcrafted, from the first sketch to the final polish. More than jewelry, his creations are wearable works of art.

Specializing in sterling silver, Ala’ often incorporates natural gemstones, Roman glass, and symbolic motifs inspired by Palestinian heritage, while developing a style that is distinctly his own—both contemporary and deeply rooted in tradition. His creations are instantly recognizable: original, elegant, often rich in meaning, and always crafted with exceptional care.
