This authentic Palestinian coin, mounted in a sterling silver pendant, is handcrafted by our Palestinian artisan-jeweler in the Old City of Jerusalem, Ahmad.
It is a 5 mil, 2 cm diameter, holed coin, inscribed "Palestine" in Arabic, English and Hebrew, as well as the date of manufacture. The front side features the value of the coin and an olive branch, the symbol of Palestine.
The sterling silver chain is included.
Each piece of jewelry is unique and may vary slightly from the image. Why get it? This piece of jewelry, both elegant and original, is a precious piece that gains in value over time. By wearing it, you are also wearing a historical symbol, proof of the existence of Palestine before 1948, thus refuting the claims of those who deny its existence. History The Palestine pound (جُنَيْه فِلَسْطِينِيّ) was the official currency of Palestine between 1927 and 1947, succeeding the Ottoman pound and the Egyptian pound. Manufactured by the Palestine Currency Board, its coins and notes featured inscriptions in English, Arabic, and Hebrew. Coins were minted until 1947, but did not circulate that year, while notes were issued until 1945.
