It is a 5 mil coin, with a diameter of 2 cm, featuring the inscriptions “Palestine” in Arabic, English, and Hebrew, along with the date of manufacture. The front displays the value of the coin accompanied by an olive branch, a strong symbol of Palestine.

The Palestinian pound (جُنَيْه فِلَسْطِينِيّ) was the official currency of Palestine from 1927 to 1947, succeeding the Ottoman pound and the Egyptian pound. Issued by the Palestine Currency Board, its bills and coins featured inscriptions in English, Arabic, and Hebrew. Coins were minted until 1947, although they did not circulate that year, while bills were issued until 1945.
