This remarkable pendant combines refined elegance with historical significance. Crafted in sterling silver 925, it features an authentic Palestinian 1 mil coin, carefully mounted by Ahmad, a master artisan jeweler from Jerusalem’s Old City.
The 2 cm bronze coin displays on its reverse the word Palestine inscribed in Arabic, English, and Hebrew, along with its minting date. Its obverse shows the coin’s denomination surrounded by an olive branch – a timeless symbol of peace, rootedness, and resilience. Each pendant is unique, with dates that may vary, making every piece a rare collectible.
This pendant is not merely jewelry; it is a living fragment of history. It stands as tangible proof of Palestine’s existence before 1948, embodying resilience, solidarity, and memory. By wearing it, you are supporting Palestinian craftsmanship while carrying a timeless symbol of identity and resistance.
Handmade in Jerusalem, this unique piece comes with a sterling silver chain, ready to wear or to offer as a meaningful gift. A true blend of history, heritage, and elegance.
The Palestinian pound (جُنَيْه فِلَسْطِينِيّ) was the official currency between 1927 and 1947, issued by the Palestine Currency Board. It replaced the Ottoman and Egyptian pounds, representing a crucial economic and political era prior to the Nakba. The 1 mil coins are now extremely rare, serving as irreplaceable relics of a Palestine erased from maps but preserved in material memory.
Wearing this pendant means honoring Palestine’s history, supporting its artisans, and keeping its legacy alive.

Ahmad is a third-generation jeweler, continuing his family's legacy in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City, where he runs his own workshop. A true artisan and artist, he handcrafts each piece of jewelry from start to finish with exceptional care and precision.
Specializing in gold and silver, Ahmad is particularly passionate about antique Palestinian coins, which he transforms into unique, history-infused jewelry pieces. He also offers customizable designs and a refined collection of Roman glass jewelry, made from nearly 2,000-year-old fragments found in Palestine.
Since October 7, 2023, Ahmad—like many Palestinian artisans in Jerusalem—has faced a devastating situation. With the disappearance of tourism and the closure of most shops in the Old City, he has been unable to sell his work. On top of this, he faces regular harassment from the Israeli police due to his creations rooted in Palestinian heritage.
Now 35 years old and the father of three children, Ahmad continues to create with passion and resilience, driven by his love for his craft, the memory of his land, and the vital support of people like you.
