A jewel carrying hope

This unique pendant combines the semi-precious Lapis stone, known as a symbol of wisdom and strength, with a verse by the iconic Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish: « على قدر حلمك تتسع الأرض ». Translated as “The earth expands to the measure of your dreams,” it conveys a message of perseverance and hope, encouraging us to believe in the power of dreams despite challenges.

Palestinian craftsmanship in every detail

Handmade by Ahmad, a jeweler from Jerusalem’s Old City (Al Quds), this pendant reflects ancestral know-how. From stone inlay to Arabic calligraphy, each detail showcases the richness of Palestinian craftsmanship.

Limitless customization

You may choose another semi-precious stone for the inlay, or even earth from Jerusalem, making each creation deeply personal. An engraving on the back can also be added, turning the jewel into a truly one-of-a-kind piece. The only limit is your imagination.

Guaranteed quality and authenticity

All pendants are made of 925 sterling silver, hallmarked for authenticity. Ahmad’s creations also bear the stamp “Made in Jerusalem” in Arabic, except when a personalized engraving is chosen. Each pendant comes with a free sterling silver chain and is available in silver or gold-plated finish (+15€).

Al Quds

Ahmad

Ahmad is a third-generation jeweler, continuing his family's legacy in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City, where he runs his own workshop. A true artisan and artist, he handcrafts each piece of jewelry from start to finish with exceptional care and precision.

Specializing in gold and silver, Ahmad is particularly passionate about antique Palestinian coins, which he transforms into unique, history-infused jewelry pieces. He also offers customizable designs and a refined collection of Roman glass jewelry, made from nearly 2,000-year-old fragments found in Palestine.

Since October 7, 2023, Ahmad—like many Palestinian artisans in Jerusalem—has faced a devastating situation. With the disappearance of tourism and the closure of most shops in the Old City, he has been unable to sell his work. On top of this, he faces regular harassment from the Israeli police due to his creations rooted in Palestinian heritage.

Now 35 years old and the father of three children, Ahmad continues to create with passion and resilience, driven by his love for his craft, the memory of his land, and the vital support of people like you.
