“On this earth, there is that which deserves life.”
This sterling silver 925 bracelet bears one of the best-known verses by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish:
« على هذه الأرض ما يستحق الحياة »
“On this earth, there is that which deserves life.”
In his workshop in Jerusalem’s Old City, Ahmad crafts each bracelet entirely by hand. Darwish’s words are incorporated into the piece in Arabic, bringing together Palestinian poetry and traditional jewellery craftsmanship.
Made from hallmarked sterling silver 925, the bracelet is also available with a gold-plated finish (+€15).
Make it personal
For an even more personal piece, an additional engraving can be added inside or on the back of the bracelet: a name, date, initials or a few words of your choice.
This also makes it a particularly meaningful personalised gift, handcrafted in Palestine especially for the person receiving it.
Made to fit your wrist
Enter your wrist measurement in centimetres when ordering so Ahmad can make the bracelet to fit you.
If you do not know the exact measurement, particularly when ordering it as a gift, simply select “standard size”.
You can also listen to Mahmoud Darwish reciting the poem from which this verse is taken. Listen to the recitation on YouTube
Avoid contact with water, perfume, cosmetics and household products.
For the sterling silver 925 version, gently polish with a soft cloth when needed. For the gold-plated version, avoid repeated friction and abrasive products to help preserve the finish.
