This tote bag is entirely sewn and embroidered by hand by Sarah, a Palestinian artisan from Nablus. It features a line of Manajel (مناجل), a traditional Palestinian embroidery motif whose name refers to the sickles traditionally used for harvesting.
Recognisable by its repeated geometric forms recalling the curved shape of a sickle, Manajel belongs to the visual vocabulary of Palestinian tatreez, in which many motifs draw inspiration from the land, plants, animals and objects of everyday life.
Sarah uses the motif here as a decorative embroidered line, creating a more understated design while preserving a motif rooted in Palestinian textile heritage.
Measuring approximately 33 × 42 cm, the tote bag is practical for everyday use. As each piece is individually sewn and embroidered by hand, slight variations in the embroidery and finishing may occur.
We recommend a gentle wash at a maximum of 30°C to preserve the embroidery. Wash with similar colours and do not tumble dry.
