This sterling silver 925 pendant gives form to the words of Mahmoud Darwish:
« على قدر حلمك تتسع الأرض »
“The earth expands to the measure of your dream.”
The verse appears in Mahmoud Darwish’s poem Bayt min al-shi‘r / Bayt al-Janoubi (بيت من الشعر / بيت الجنوبي).
Words about dreams and the space they can open before us, transformed here into Arabic calligraphy to be worn close to the heart.
Poetry shaped into jewellery in Jerusalem
In his workshop in Jerusalem’s Old City, Ahmad crafts the pendant by hand, working directly with the Arabic calligraphy until the lettering itself becomes the structure of the piece.
Rather than simply engraving the words onto a metal plate, the words themselves form the pendant, giving the design its distinctive delicacy and character.
Each piece is crafted from hallmarked sterling silver 925 and comes with a matching silver chain. A gold-plated finish (+€15) is also available, with a matching chain.
