A crossbody bag hand-sewn in Nablus, giving new life to antique Palestinian embroidery.
Sarah, a Palestinian artisan from Nablus, makes each bag herself before incorporating fragments of antique traditional Palestinian embroidery.
Rather than simply reproducing historic patterns, she works with genuine existing embroidery. Each bag is therefore unique. The patterns, colours and placement of the embroidery may vary slightly from the piece shown in the photos, while retaining the same overall style.
Finished with a zip closure and a long strap, the bag can be worn comfortably over the shoulder or across the body.
Each model is named after a Palestinian city, village or neighbourhood to distinguish the different creations in the collection; the name does not indicate the geographical origin of the embroidery used.

Originally from Nablus, Sarah is 34 years old and holds a degree in Public Administration from Birzeit University. Passionate about art and craftsmanship from an early age, she naturally turned to handmade creation when, like many young Palestinians, she was unable to find employment in her field.
