A design inspired by Al-Aqsa, handcrafted in Jerusalem and set with Eilat Stone.
The geometric shape of this pendant draws directly from the stained glass and wall decorations of Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem. Ahmad reinterprets these distinctive lines in a contemporary piece of jewellery, entirely handcrafted in his workshop in the Old City.
At its centre, he inlays Eilat Stone, a semi-precious stone characteristic of the region, instantly recognisable for its natural shades of blue, turquoise and green. Its distinctive colouring comes from a natural combination of copper minerals. Each fragment has its own shades and patterns, making every pendant naturally unique.
Eilat Stone is also known as “King Solomon Stone”, a name referring to traditions that have long associated the region’s ancient copper workings with the legendary mines of King Solomon. This connection belongs to historical tradition and legend rather than being a firmly established archaeological attribution.
The pendant is crafted from hallmarked sterling silver 925 and also bears an Arabic inscription indicating that it was made in Jerusalem.
Make it personal
Ahmad can replace the Eilat Stone with another semi-precious stone or even earth from Jerusalem.
A personal engraving on the back can also be added — a name, date, word or short message depending on the available space — creating an even more personal piece.
A sterling silver 925 chain is included, and the pendant can be ordered in silver or with a gold-plated finish (+€15).
