A piece of jewellery bringing together different periods of Palestinian history.
At the centre of this sterling silver 925 bracelet, Ahmad sets an authentic antique Palestinian coin between two Eilat stones, each displaying its own natural shades of blue, turquoise and green.
The entire bracelet is handcrafted in his workshop in Jerusalem’s Old City.
A tangible trace of Palestine before 1948
The coin incorporated into the bracelet comes from the currency introduced in Palestine from 1927, under the authority of the Palestine Currency Board during the British Mandate period.
On these coins, the name “Palestine” officially appears in Arabic, English and Hebrew, alongside the denomination and year of minting.
These inscriptions are neither reproductions nor contemporary additions: they belong to the original coin itself. It therefore represents a tangible historical trace of Palestine before 1948, preserved in metal and today incorporated into the work of a Palestinian jeweller in Jerusalem.
As the coins are authentic antiques, their date, patina, shades and signs of wear may vary. The bracelet you receive may therefore differ slightly from the one pictured, making every piece genuinely unique.
Eilat Stone, also known as “King Solomon’s Stone”
On either side of the coin, Ahmad sets two Eilat stones.
Considered the only stone originating from Palestine, Eilat stone is also known as “King Solomon’s Stone”, a name inherited from its ancient history and its traditional association with the biblical king.
Its shades of blue, turquoise and green blend differently within every fragment. No two stones are exactly alike, making each bracelet unique.
Ahmad thus brings together in a single piece an authentic antique Palestinian coin, a stone connected to thousands of years of history in this land, and his own craftsmanship as a Palestinian jeweller in Jerusalem.
Handcrafted by Ahmad in Jerusalem
In his workshop in Jerusalem’s Old City, Ahmad creates each bracelet individually and entirely by hand.
He builds the design around the antique coin, works the sterling silver 925, and sets an Eilat stone on either side.
Each creation therefore brings together historic and natural elements with the contemporary craftsmanship of a Palestinian artisan in Jerusalem. No two bracelets are exactly alike.
Avoid contact with water, perfume, cosmetics and household products.
Gently clean the silver with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners on the antique coin or Eilat stones, and protect the bracelet from impacts.
The coin’s natural patina and signs of age are part of its history and should not be removed through intensive polishing.
