Habet al-Zeytoun means “olive grain” in Arabic, referring to the shape of the jewellery. These earrings reproduce a design that existed in Gaza around 200 years ago and forms part of Palestinian jewellery history.

Today, Ahmad, a Palestinian jeweller based in Jerusalem’s Old City, recreates them entirely by hand using the same traditional techniques. His work preserves both the shape of the historic design and its method of construction. The craftsmanship is as much a part of their history as their appearance.

Habet al-Zeytoun connects Gaza, where this jewellery existed in the past, with Jerusalem, where Ahmad makes it today. Each pair continues that story through a piece crafted in a Palestinian workshop, made to be worn and passed on.

Made from 925 sterling silver, the earrings are available in silver or gold-plated finish. Wear them on their own or alongside the other pieces in the collection.

Entirely handmade in Palestine, they make a meaningful gift for their history and the connection to Palestine they carry. Your purchase directly supports Ahmad’s work, his family and the continuation of his craft.

Complete your set with the Habet al-Zeytoun necklace and Habet al-Zeytoun bracelet.
